One Standard to Uplift: JESUS

The Uprising is gearing up for an incredible fall. Our schedule will includes some great concerts, conference, prayer, campus outreach, street evangelism and of course abandoned nights of Uprising worship, exhortation and prayer. The finalized schedule will be posted around the 20th of this month.

The Lord has been laying on our hearts an unquenchable desire for prayer, worship and unity. I believe a key verse for this fall is Isaiah 60:5 “Thy shalt see, and flow together” The following exhortation has been based on the book by Derek Prince “Shaping History through Prayer and Fasting”.

The Word of God reveals to us that we, His church are his main rep and agent on the earth today. This main agent is being restored to God’s own standards of purity, power and order. The church restored will be enabled to fulfill its destiny and bring a triumphant climax to God’s purposes in this age. God’s heart is for order and restoration. His bride walking in unity.

We see in Ephesians 4:13 “Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” This vision is for a growing and developing church, moving towards a predetermined end.

The way that leads into this unity is indicated by “the (acknowledging) of the Son of God”. All doctrines in the New Testament center in the person and work of Christ.
When Christians are willing to acknowledge Christ in His Fullness, and to give Christ His rightful position in their lives and in the church, all the various doctrines in Christianity all fit together in Him, just like the spokes of a wheel fitting into its hub.

The Glorious church, growing into full stature will be able to represent Christ in all His fullness. We will be, in the truest sense, the embodiment of Christ. We will constitute the consummation of God’s purposes for the church: that is, the perfect revelation of Christ endowed with every grace, gift and ministry.

In Ephesians 5:25-26, Paul presents Christ first as Redeemer, then as Sanctifier. The Blood of Jesus is the Redemption; the Word of God is the Sanctifier. The Sanctifying operation of God’s word is compared to the washing of pure water. It is the Holy Spirit who bears witness to both these aspects of Christ.

In Ephesians 5:27 this double ministry presents a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. The glory of God will permeate the church. God’s personal presence will be made manifest to human senses. Just like the cloud in the desert, the completed church will be overshadowed, filled and illuminated by the manifest glory of God.

Isaiah 59:19-60:5 portrays the end purposes of God. There will be a worldwide demonstration of God’s glory that will cause awe and wonder among the nation. The enemy will rise up like a flood, but that opposition will be overcome by the Holy Spirit.

With the full knowledge that God is coming to our help, people of God from every direction will gather around the uplifted standard and regroup for a fresh offensive. What is the standard that the Holy Spirit uplifts? John 16:13-14 Jesus said “He shall glorify me”. The Holy Spirit has only one standard to uplift. It is the person of Jesus

For every true believer, loyalty to this standard, Jesus Christ, is primary. Every other commitment, whether to institution, denomination or doctrine, is secondary. Wherever such believers see Christ truly uplifted by the Holy Spirit, they will gather.

The effects of this regathering are listed in Isaiah 59:19-20 God’s people are turning back to Him in repentance. Christ is working again in His church, bringing redemption and deliverance. He is renewing His covenant and restoring the fullness of His Holy Spirit. Once again, God’s people have become His witnesses. With God’s Spirit upon them, His Word is being proclaimed through their lips.

All age groups are included in this visitation, but there is a special emphasis upon the young people. This is the same outpouring predicted in Joel 2:28 and Acts 2:17:” Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions”. This is not a temporary visitation; it is “from henceforth and for ever’. The Holy Spirit’s fullness, now being restored to God’s people, will never again be taken from them.

The darkness is growing darker, but the light is growing brighter. This is the hour of decision, the paring of the ways. There can be no more neutrality, no more compromise. The vision of God is to bring His church together. From every historical background and from every section of Christianity. Unity will release the flowing of streams of revival; these steams will unite themselves into one irresistible river. Holy awe will come over God’s people at the revelation of His power and glory. There will also be an enlarging of our hearts, an enlarged capacity to comprehend and to fulfill the purposes of God.

Let us look at the petty divisions that have kept the church separate for so many years and attack that spirit with a decisive blow. The Lord is raising up a new generation unhindered by every past system and mindset that has hindered true unity. This new generation of Nazarites and Levites will seek the Lord with a radical and abandoned passion.

There, laying on the floor, or dancing in the aisles, 24-7, we will finally meet our other brother and sisters, who for so long never ventured outside of their own churches. This embrace will be sweet, and long overdue. Love will mark the true church of Jesus Christ. In Unity the blessing will flow. UPRISE
