The control of our will begins with us.
Our will controls our feelings. Feelings derive from our will. Feelings have no creative moral character; therefore they must sympathize and follow the directions and actions of our will.
Feelings cannot overtake and control our will, though they are linked.
Our will places a demand on our feelings to obey, trust and submit. This is especially true in relating to what God wants to do in our midst. This is true in salvation, sanctification and so much more true in REVIVAL.
Our feelings are not called to enter in to what God is doing, but our will is. When we resist the Lord’s coming with our will, a spirit of rebellion is released and made manifest through our feelings.
If we do not understand these principles of our will, then we will only follow our feelings, which are then controlled by a spirit of rebellion towards the new and fresh things that god wants to do in our midst. This is also called a religious spirit.
When we give up instantly and surrender our will at once to a move of God, the feelings that sometimes we make the mistake of waiting for, will come because they are of God and they provide a flow and release for what captivates our will which is embracing the move of the Lord.
The truth is that feeling do not come as an invitation to enter into what God is doing, but as a by product of our will’s decision to embrace the new thing that God is doing in our midst.
The invitation comes from God, is accepted by our will and made manifest by our actions and emotions.
What God requires is a present, now, act of our mind that directs our will. This is the turning point from us controlling our feelings to embracing God’s move with our will.
God calls us to turn from status quo feelings to a mindset of embracing the anointing that God wants and is going to pour out on us.
The choice is yours.

This is so true! Sometimes it is so easy to be "controlled" by our emotions and feelings and our own will; Just because we dont "feel" God or cant seem to "cry" at the point we think we should be able to or things arn't going the way we think God should do it. But in reality all of these things are a product of "being with God" we CAN NOT experience these things if we have not been intimate with God! How can we expect anything genuine if all we have done that week/month/year is go to a service???? Thats what i am asking you and the answer is redundant; WE CANT.
It may seem simple or its one of those things "everyone knows" but do we actually realize when we do this? We need to "be with God" (It Says in Mark 3:13,14+15 "Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to him those he wanted, and they came to him. He appointed twelve–designating them apostles that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.") and it's not out of an obligation but out of a lifestyle that says God your will above all else. Your plan above all else. In Isaiah 55:8+9 it says: For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. Isnt that the key to let God Reign supreme over ALL of our LIFE!
REVIVAL IS HERE!
I dont think I can take that subject any further than what was shared in the orignal post :) so I wont try to share anything except to say I definitely hear God in what was written (thanks anonymous writer lol), because at this particular time... the last couple weeks months... I feel that my "will" is and has been SO challenged and stretched .... (and sometimes my feelings win). I feel like this past couple of weeks have been a huge battle between the two, and sometimes all I want to do is scream "AHH IT'S SO HARD" lol . It hurts to be stretched. So, saying all this to say... I dont think i am the only one being stretched this area. But let's hang in there... and let's not lose intensity. God has done so much in my life through the Uprising (and I've seen Him do so much in all our lives) but now I want to see him do great things outside of myself... in my school, workplace, in the norhtshore. As much as stretching hurts, we can't lose sight of the GOAL, which is to see our generation come to Christ.
