The Uprising to me is a time of adoration and also a time of just loving on God! It's so easy to get caught up with our work, classes, family and friends! But when we're at the uprising its a time to leave that behind us, and just come before God with a pure heart and worship Him for who He is! The uprising on Saturday nights is our special "date" with our Creator! It's a time of close and intimate fellowship with Him! So don't miss out on these wonderful "dates" with our Lord, they're amazing! Come prepared to receive His powerful presence!

Uprising is an "altar" - a time and place that is set a apart to God. A place where we seek God, that is our one and only concern!

I agree with Angela. "The Uprising" is an altar set apart for God by young people who are willing to be a voice for their generation. It's not a service for young people, but rather a lifestyle of obedience, and surrender to God. The service just happens to be the time when we (the young people) meet corporately to interceed and worship God, but to me the real "Uprising" is the spirit of God moving in the hearts of young people calling them to live out Christ in the day to day, in our schools, our jobs, our friendships, our families....

Altars have also been on my heart, when i think of an altar i think of sacrifice. on Saturday nights we are not bringing burnt offerings, it would stink up the place, but of praise and worship. Psalms 51 has been on my heart. in Verse 17 it says "The Sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise." to me a broken spirit is when we, sons and daughters of the Most High, living in this secular world, come before our God and acknowledge our insufficiency to bring change to a generation, our lack of zeal for his manifest presence(complacency) and our total dependance on him in every part of our lives, not just in the services. What we need is His intimate presence, and to live a radical life of holiness and brokeness that our God will not despise.

i believe that what everyone has said is our goal or our vision for the uprising. it is a place we we lay the foundation to build the altar for the youth of this nation.

we play a vital role in building this altar to the glory of God. The youth of this generation are all saying they are christians but they do not display a christlike life. We are changing what it means to "be a christian"

Lets come together with the heart of building an altar to meet God and his presence so that we can change our nation.
